The Tanger Hillel House at Brooklyn College is the largest Hillel facility at a New York campus and boasts some of the most impressive features of any Hillel in the nation.
Tanger Hillel serves a diverse population of commuter students including Russian Speaking Jews, Israeli, Kavkazi, Bukharin, Orthodox and American students. All of Hillel’s clubs operate out of the Tanger Hillel at Brooklyn College
The Hillel House is often affectionately referred to as “home away from home” by students. Hillel recognizes the needs of commuter students and responds accordingly. The Hillel house has extended hours and is often open at night. Hillel also provides night activities and events and Hillel staff is always on hand.
The Tanger Hillel at Brooklyn College is dedicated to provide a wide social network to its students by partnering with other Hillel’s in the NY Metropolitan area and other Jewish Organizations. Events vary from fundraisers and parties to community service and volunteer projects.
