Where? LifeLong Research Study at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Endocrinology and Genetics departments.
What? The study is being conducted to understand how blood and genetic markers related to healthy aging and longevity change throughout the life course, and the researchers have relied on the Ashkenazi Jewish community in prior studies to advance our understanding of the biology of aging and make discoveries that may lead to healthier lives for aging adults.
The study population primarily consists of individuals from ages 20-40, with four grandparents of Ashkenazi Jewish descent, and of good health. The study visit consists of a non-fasting blood sample, and a medical history and family medical history questionnaire. The participants are compensated with a $50 gift card for their time.
