BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy

BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy, a program of Ramah in the Rockies, is a pluralistic, kosher, and Shabbat-observant program. Our mission is to promote whole-health wellness in the Jewish community by elevating the conversation around mental health and by providing wilderness-based journeys of self-discovery, hope, and healing. We integrate a wilderness experience with a Jewish framework and clinical intervention to help teens and young adults build skills to successfully navigate life’s challenges. 

BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy offers three core programs: 

  • Mifne BaMidbar - a residential, wilderness-based treatment program for young adults struggling with depression and anxiety 

  • Etgar BaMidbar - a four-week summer program for adolescents focused on social, emotional, and spiritual wellness 

  • Experiential Educator Course - for Jewish community professionals looking to expand their mental health literacy and explore facilitation through the lens of social and emotional growth
